Shepherd's Staff: Shepherd's Staff is a nonprofit, nondenominational ministry that provides resources
and assistance to people in crisis within our community. It is sponsored and supported by a number of local
churches and caring businesses.
Please consider making regular monthly donations of food to our food barrel (located inside Fellowship Hall). Please
donate non-perishable goods only. Cereal, peanut butter & jelly, Macaroni & Cheese, canned fruit, and soda crackers
are most needed. Hygiene items, such as bar soaps, non-liquid toiletries, baby diapers, and dental care products
are also greatly appreciated.
We also need volunteers to purchase food with the cash donations we receive for this fund and those to staff
the food pantry between one to four times a month. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and registered
members of the church. The location of the pantry is at 76 Bay Creek Rd., Ste. F. For more information about the
location, call them at 770-554-9722.
Murphy Harpst Children’s Home: Serves children, youth, and families in crisis situations in Cedartown, GA.
One Great Hour of Sharing: Usually, a church-wide offering is taken up on the fourth Sunday in Lent (March)
for this Special Sunday offering. Gifts to this offering underwrite UMCOR’s “cost of doing business” and fill-in
funding to assist UMCOR programs that are not fully funded through designated Advance gifts.
