Meets Every 2nd Monday at 7pm

The organized unit of United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God
and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to
expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW is made up of groups of women who meet once a month for fellowship, Bible/topical studies, and mission work.
We currently have two circles. You don't have to be a member of the church to be a member of either of these groups!

Quarterly meetings are held where all circle members come together in lieu of their own circle meetings.

Some of the Mission Projects the UMW supports are: collecting Campbell's soup labels for the Murphy-Harpst Center
for Children; collecting General Mills cereal box tops for the Red Bird Mission in Kentucky; collecting food and other
items for the Shepherd’s Staff local outreach mission; as well as other projects as voted upon at our General Meetings. Financial contributions are made by pledges and through fund-raising projects such as bake sales, yard sales, preparing meals for various functions, etc.

Reading Program: The UMW sponsors a reading library located in the Fidelis classroom of the church. Books may be
checked out and read at any time. Group members may earn credit for reading as fewas four books per year or as many
as 20 books per year and also by reading the Response Magazine monthly (response is the UMW's own publication).
A list of books to read is available in the UMW library.
